What to know before we begin.
Fees, insurance, scheduling, and what to expect from your first visit.
Fees & Insurance
I bill in-network insurance companies and have a time-of-service payment option.
Insurance accepted (In-network plans only):
- PacificSource (Commercial plans)
- Moda
Time of Service: This means you are not using insurance or are submitting your own claims for out-of-network insurance. I can supply an invoice and receipt. At the start of service you will choose an amount from the sliding scale to pay for services. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided so you can be informed about how much services may cost over the course of therapy.
If you don’t see your plan or network listed, please contact your insurance provider for coverage details.

What to Expect
Services start with a free 15-minute consultation (via Telehealth) to ensure this would be a good fit. You will receive an email invitation from SimplePractice – the Electronic Health Record and Telehealth platform I use – to create an initial client profile and receive a link for the consultation.
If we decide to move forward, you will be emailed a link to complete an intake packet electronically in your client portal. This takes about 15–30 minutes, depending on your presenting concerns.
First session
The first 1–2 sessions consist of a Full Mental Health Assessment so I can learn about you, your life experiences, and your therapy needs. This includes providing a diagnosis based on presenting symptoms (a diagnosis is required to bill insurance). I will offer initial impressions of what our work might include, and together we will create a measurable treatment plan reviewed every 3–4 months.
In-Person Appointments
My office is located in the Minor Building in downtown Eugene and is wheelchair-accessible. There is a small waiting area at the end of the hall if you arrive early or the previous session runs late (rare, but it can happen!).
I offer validation for reduced parking fees at the OVERPARK PARKING GARAGE (E. 10th Ave. & Oak St.), a block from my office. There is also limited paid street parking and other paid lots in the area.
Telehealth Appointments
For those who need or prefer the flexibility of virtual services, I offer Telehealth appointments. Telehealth by SimplePractice is the platform we will use; we may also use Doxy if needed. Both platforms are simple to use but may require an application on your device – let me know if you need support with this.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide 24-hours’ notice so the slot can be offered to someone else.
Note: A $50.00 fee (not billable to insurance) will apply if there is a pattern of missed appointments or late cancellations. This is necessary because a time commitment is held exclusively for you. May be waived in emergency situations or illness.
